Last year I was in line at the bank bored to hell when my phone rang, it was a client who was looking to produce a book. Being a big fan of lucha libre, you can imagine how exited I was when she told me about the possibillity of doing an illustrated children's book featuring lucha libre legend and mexican icon El Hijo Del Santo. Got in touch my good friend Kone to see if he was interested in working on it, few hours later we're on skype putting togheter the rough story, posible characters etc. along the way we also recruited a couple of friends, Pablo Maañon in charge of writing the script and the tallented mr Lerms on aditional illustration and backgrounds. 8 months later on october 2009 the book finally came out.  here are some pictures of the process

This is my piece for the custom YOKA BEAR SHOW
300 Artists from all over the globe customized a 3" blank Yoka the show will premiere at this years Designer Con 2009 on Saturday, November 21st. 10am to 5pm. Pasadena Convention Center, 300 East Green Street, Pasadena CA 91101.

the show will travel from there to make more appearances around the country and possibly the world.  Tour dates to be announced.

Show features: Anthony Ausgang, Miss Mindy, Buff Monster, Jophen Stein, Heidi Kenney, Steven Daily, Snaggs, Arbito, Le Merde, Chris Ryniak, olive47, Dacosta!, Chino and literally hundreds more.

Defensa personal con la leyenda de la lucha EL DOCTOR MADRIZA (en realidad es mi amigo moncho) a ver si cachan el pitillo del chupacabras en el vídeo. Proyecto de fin del segundo term en Vancouver Film School.

All after effects, no 3d was harmed in the making of this short. Stu came up with this crazy expression using markers, chris put the whole thing together, we all did some marker madness and I stole their wallets while they weren't looking ......also did the doodles.

/// DARKSTALKERS TRIBUTE ///

I recently moved to Vancouver to go to film school which is fantastic, sadly this means I'm not going to make it to San Diego Comic Con (aka fanboy heaven) :( but on the other hand one of my illustrations made it into the DARKSTALKERS TRIBUTE which is doing it's debut at SDCC at the Udon booth.

UDON’s booth# is 5112, located right across from the big Capcom booth

Recientemente me mude a la bella ciudad de Vancouver a estudiar, lo cual a sido una experiencia increíble, aunque tristemente eso significa que este año no podre ir al lugar mas feliz del mundo...el San Diego Comic Con, pero una de mis ilustraciones esta incluida en el libro DARKSTALKERS TRIBUTE el cual están estrenando en la convención si andan por ahí pasen a saludar a los batos de UDON :)

UDON el puesto es el 5112, esta frente al puesto de Capcom
