This painting is for an art show on the 31st of January if you're in Tijuana you should stop by and say hi. the show features paintings by Anita Mejía, Carlos Lerma, César Moreno, Foi Jiménez, Jorge Gutiérrez el Super Macho, Julio Carrasco (Zoveck), Mr. Kone and many more.
The theme of the show is creation myths my pick was the creation according to the bakuba; the Earth was nothing but water and darkness. Mbombo, the white giant, ruled over this chaos. One day, he felt a terrible pain in his stomach, and vomited the sun, the moon, and the stars. The sun shone fiercely and water steamed up in clouds. Gradually, the dry hills appeared. Mbombo vomited again, this time the trees came out of his stomach, and animals, and people, and many other things: the first woman, the leopard, the eagle, the anvil, the monkey, Fumu, the first man, the firmament, medicine, and lighting.

Esta Pintura es para un expo colectiva llamada BANG!: MITOS DE CREACIÓN así que si andan por Tijuana el 31 de Enero estaría bien suave que pasaran a saludar y ver pinturas de Anita Mejía, Carlos Lerma, César Moreno, Foi Jiménez, Jorge Gutiérrez el Super Macho, Julio Carrasco (Zoveck), Mr. Kone y muchos mas.
El tema de la expo es interpretar uno de los mitos de la creación, yo escogí el mito según los Bakuba originario de africa;
Originalmente, la Tierra no era más que agua y oscuridad. Mbombo, el gigante de color blanco, reinaba en este caos. Un día, sintió un terrible dolor en el estómago, vomitó el sol, la luna y las estrellas. El sol brilló ferozmente y al vapor de agua en las nubes. Poco a poco, aparecieron las áridas colinas. Mbombo vomitó de nuevo, esta vez los árboles, los animales, la primera mujer, el leopardo, el águila, el mono, el primer hombre, el firmamento, la medicina, y la iluminación. (recientemente me avente un performance de este mito en un party mil disculpas al batillo del carwash)
